Program Highlights

As you know, the Kroger Plus/Rewards Card electronically captures each school’s progress. The card was developed to help you save money when shopping at Kroger, and now the Kroger Plus Card/Rewards Card will continue to help your school earn points toward desperately needed educational awards.

Each time registered supporters shop at a Kroger store using their Kroger Plus/Rewards Card they earn points for your school - points you redeem for great educational tools, just as you’ve always done.

To make distributing this money fair to all schools involved, we will divide the program into four periods. You will be sent an email at the end of each period showing your point total, or you can check them online at www.aftskroger.com.

Schools will earn a percentage of the $300,000 based on the amount of support they receive from registered supporters who shop using their Kroger Plus/Rewards Card. It’s kind of like a pie, the size of your school’s slice will depend on how much your supporters are shopping.

The Kroger Plus Card for Education Program will run for 28 weeks to give your school plenty of time to rally community support.

Shopper Bar Code Registration Begins: Friday, August 26, 2011

• Point Accrual Begins: Monday, September 12, 2011
• Point Accrual Ends: Monday, March 26, 2012
• Educational Award Order Deadline: Friday, April 13, 2012

POINT PERIODS:

• Period 1: Friday, September 12 - Friday, October 28
• Period 2: Saturday, October 29 - Saturday, December 17
• Period 3: Sunday, December 18 - Sunday, February 5
• Period 4: Monday, February 6 - Monday, March 26
